Claire O’Connor

North Inner City

Claire is a 24-year-old Socialist activist and our local representative in the Dublin North Inner City.

She has worked closely with former Cllr Éilis Ryan for some time in representing people in the community, including on campaigning against the privatisation of public land such as O’Devaney Gardens, against excessive for-profit development and for public housing.

Claire is especially interested in:

– Better public waste collection in the city and ending illegal dumping

– Improved community amenities for young people and families

– The eradication of homelessness through public housing solutions.

Having previously worked in the retail sector, she is a member of Mandate and SIPTU trade unions.

She is also involved in Palestine Solidarity and anti-imperialist politics.
