The Workers’ Party has made a comprehensive submission to the public consultation by the Department of Trade, Enterprise, and Employment on proposals being considered by the High-Level Group on Collective Bargaining. This Group was set up under the Labour Employer Economic Forum (LEEF) to review collective bargaining and the industrial relations landscape in Ireland. The Department sought submissions with regard to the following:
- Joint Labour Committees (‘JLC’)
- use of technical assessors to assist dispute resolution pursuant to Part 3 of the Industrial Relations (Amendment) Act 2015
- how ‘good faith engagement’ could be increased at enterprise level
