To the Workers’ Party of Ireland

Cd. M. Donnelly,
Dear comrades,

Please accept the condolences of the KKE for the passing of c. Sean Garland, member of the Executive Committee of the Workers’ Party of Ireland.

Cd. Garland has been one of the most emblematic personalities of the communist movement in Ireland. He devoted all his life and contributed decisively to the development of the class-oriented trade-union movement, to building its revolutionary vanguard. Through the Workers’ Party of Ireland he contributed greatly to the struggle in favor of the interests of the working class towards the overthrow of the exploitative system, for building a socialist society.
His internationalism, his activity and his commitment to the values and ideals of the working class made him stand out. With particular courage him and his Party gave important battles with the class enemy, serving the people’s interests.
We kindly ask you to transfer to c. Garland’s family and to the members of the Workers’ Party of Ireland our most heartfelt condolences.
