David Gardiner, Workers’ Party representative for Palmerstown-Fonthill and Dublin Mid-West, has described a party organised of 80+ people, including TDs and Senators. by the Oireachtas Golf Society as “scandalous” and “typical of the gangsters that run this country.”

“Elected representatives, attending a party of 80+ people, in open defiance of COVID-19 restrictions, is absolutely scandalous. This is typical of the corrupt and hypocritical gangsters that run this country.”

“The level of miscommunication around the restrictions was bad enough, with different government Departments offering contradicting information, but this shows that they really just don’t care.”

“It’s clearly more of the same from Fianna Fáil, Fine Gael and the Green Party. Even in 2020, it’s one rule for the rich and another for the rest of us.”
