International Women’s Day did not begin as a celebration. It was not created for corporate branding, discount codes, or polite panel discussions. It was born from working class struggle, socialist organising and women demanding political and economic power.

The Workers’ Party has produced a pamphlet, entitled International Women’s Day 2026: Bread, Roses, and Unfinished Revolution, to remember this legacy, the women involved in it, and to remind ourselves of the issues which remain unresolved for working class women. You can read and download the pamphlet by clicking here.
