Dear Comrades,

The Workers’ Party of Ireland sends its fraternal greetings to the Portuguese Communist Party on the occasion of your XXIst Congress.

The PCP occupies a critical place in the resistance to capitalism and the development of a working class alternative guided by Marxist theory. 

Given the common pressures arising from modern capitalism and the parameters imposed by the European Union we in the WPI look forward to reading a report on the debates and decisions arising therefrom.

We extend our solidarity to all the militants of the PCP and look forward to cooperative work fighting for the interests of the working class across all borders in the coming period.
